LINDA SPROEHNLE

BIO

Linda has been drawing and sketching since she can remember and along the way has taken courses at The Woodstock School of Art, The Museum of Natural History in NYC, MECA, The Princeton Art Association and the Studio of Jacques Fabert just to name a few.

She is currently painting and teaching beginner painting at The Roux & Cyr Gallery in Portland Me. Her work is generally moody or dramatic lighting and the often straight forward expression of humans ,animals and sometimes even inanimate objects.…making ‘eye’ contact with the viewer. Another recurring theme is the tender care and feelings animals demonstrate to one another and their offspring.

In 2019 Linda’s painting of an old VW Beetle on a Mexican cobbled street ( el Scarabajo Azule) won the Peoples Choice Award in the last juried show at The Roux & Cyr Gallery.
